Why sail with us

Not your typical catamaran tour

Most boat trips in Martinique are big catamarans full of tourists and loud music. Madisail is the opposite. Fildou is a racing trimaran: her central hull slices through the waves while her two floats, her “wings”, keep her remarkably stable. You’ll feel like you’re flying over the water, in near silence.

We keep groups under 10 people, avoid the busy spots and let the wind decide the route. Join in hoisting the sails, take the helm, or simply relax.

Where do we go?

The captain picks the spot.

Every day, Captain Pol chooses among a dozen quiet snorkeling spots along Martinique’s Caribbean coast, depending on wind and crowds. One thing is certain: somewhere stunning, above and below the water. No two days are the same.

Who is it for?

For families and all abilities

Kids and babies

Everyone is welcome, at any age. We’ve set up Fildou to make sailing accessible to all, and Pol adapts to each group. Rocked by the boat, little ones often fall asleep! Shade tents at anchor.

All abilities

Physical, hearing, visual or intellectual disability: Pol adapts so you can enjoy the day like everyone else. Not sure? Contact us.

FAQ

Sailing day trip FAQ

Do I need sailing experience?

No. The captain sails the boat; you join in as much as you like.

Yes. Madisail is a dive club affiliated with the French Underwater Federation (FFESSM), and all our activities are insured. Snorkeling is guided by Captain Pol, who holds the MF2, the highest instructor level of the FFESSM, as well as the French State diving instructor diploma (Brevet d’État).

No, we meet at La Case Madisail in Case-Pilote at 8:45 am. Our partner taxi, Charles Norden – Ti Chal Taxi (+596 696 18 66 05, WhatsApp), can drive you there.

Safety comes first: the captain decides whether the trip can go ahead, based on the marine forecast. If he cancels, we first offer to reschedule; if that’s not possible, you get a full refund. A rain forecast alone isn’t a reason to cancel: in Martinique, showers pass quickly. Only the captain’s decision entitles you to a new date or a refund.

Turtles are often spotted while snorkeling. Dolphins are possible too, but we never go looking for them (AGOA charter).

Our guests come from all over the world. Pol and Jessica speak English and make sure everyone feels included.

Yes! Check out our private sailing charter: the boat and crew just for your group, up to 10 people.
